QuickBooks Point of Sale FAQ – Recovery of POS info from crashed drive

Question:  

QuickBooks POS 8.0 crashed, which files do I need to pull up history from the old drive?  Can’t seem to get files open after pulling drive.?

Answer:

Go to Computer>C>Users>Public>Public Documents>Intuit>QuickBooks Point of Sale 8.0>Data

You should see your data file there.  Move the entire file to your new drive and with POS installed double click the database file.  It will automatically move the database to the right spot on your new drive.

    I’m trying to run a Quickboko Pos and i notice the Financial center and reports tab are missing from the menu bar, could you explain to me why this is so.
